Synopsis :
Astrid, a brilliant student and the pride of her community, suddenly returns to Saint-Boniface, Manitoba. With just one semester left to complete her studies in Montreal, she announces that she’s dropping everything worn down by isolation and self-doubt. Back home, Astrid finds a world turned upside down: her parents have separated, her mother is seeing someone new, and her younger sister is going through a pivotal moment of her own one that Astrid, too caught up in her own turmoil, struggles to notice. No longer a student, Astrid faces an uncertain future and feels adrift. But little by little, with the help of Stella, a quiet bookseller, and her community, she begins to rebuild herself.
