The film revisits the origins of two intertwined revolutions: Hydro-Québec’s rapid development through the La Grande hydroelectric complex, led by Premier Robert Bourassa, and the awakening of Indigenous nations. Québec, propelled by the Quiet Revolution, seizes control of its destiny, while in the North, young Inuit and Cree communities rise to protect their land and traditions. At the center of this confrontation lies the James Bay project, the largest hydroelectric endeavor in North America, symbolizing a profound clash of cultures and worldviews.
