The one I loved

Drawing on the lyrics of Les feuilles mortes, this is a portrayal of the passionate yet tumultuous relationship between Simone Signoret and Yves Montand. Diane Kurys and her co-writer turn this famous couple’s story into a meditation on passion, loyalty and devotion. The film recalls classics such as The Life Before Us and The Things of Life. Composer Philippe Sarde, who scored many of their films, closes the circle. Marina Foïs and Roschdy Zem captivate from the very first scene.
