The Purge LGBT

Between 1950 and 1996, thousands of Canadian Armed Forces and Royal Canadian Mounted Police members as well as federal employees were investigated and dismissed because of their sexual orientation. This documentary gives voice to three survivors whose testimonies expose the cruelty of this state-sponsored purge. The film honors their resilience and calls attention to a dark chapter of Canadian history still too little known.
